Reno Bighorns Cruise Past Warriors

Reno, NV., March 3, 2014 - The Reno Bighorns dominated the Santa Cruz Warriors Monday night 115-97 at the Reno Events Center.

The Bighorns came out strong in the first quarter and led by as many as 13 points against the Warriors. The Bighorns went on a 13-2 run (6:34-3:20) and ended the quarter with a 27-16 lead.

In the second quarter, Reno outscored Santa Cruz 25-19. KC Rivers scored 10 points and had 3 rebounds in the first half. Bryan Davis added 9 points and 5 rebounds before the half. The Warriors' Cameron Jones had 12 points to finish off the half. The Reno Bighorns led 52-35 going into the half.

The Bighorns continued to dominate the game in the third quarter. To close out the third quarter, Reno had their biggest lead of 28 points. Sundiata Gaines scored 12 points in the third quarter. Going into the fourth quarter, the Bighorns were up 89-61.

The Bighorns closed out the game strong. Top scorer for Reno was Sundiata Gaines with 21 points, and 5 assists. Also in double figures for the Bighorns were: KC Rivers (19), Bryan Davis (16), Tyrell Biggs (14), Ra'Shad James (13) and DeQuan Jones (10).

The Warriors were led by Mychel Thompson and Dominic McGuire, each had 14 points. Also in double figures were: Cameron Jones (12), Lance Goulbourne (12), William Buford (11), Seth Curry (11) and Kiwi Gardner (10). Ogenjen Kuzmic had 12 rebounds for Santa Cruz.
