Heart & Stroke Auction Reset
February 28, 2014 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sarnia Sting News Release
Due to technical difficulties incurred on the Heart & Stroke Online Jersey Auction page, the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club has elected to reset all bids on the specialty jerseys worn on February 22nd, 2014.
The Hockey Club came to the understanding on Thursday afternoon that the closing bids on the team's previous auction failed to reset, unintentionally bloating the "current bid's' on several of the Heart & Stroke jerseys. In an effort to ensure the bidding process is fair and equitable to all invested fans, the Online Auction for the Heart & Stroke jerseys will restart effective immediately.
The auction will be re-opened this morning with the starting bid on each jersey set at $100.00. In order to accommodate for vested fans, the auction deadline has been extended to Monday, March 10, 2014 at 9:00 p.m.
The organization would like to apologize for this inconvenience; however, we felt as though it was our responsibility to inform our fans of this unintentional inflation.
Please keep in mind, the goal of this auction is to raise $4,000 so that these funds can be used to purchase an AED(Automated External Defibrillator) which will be placed in the Sarnia-Lambton community. Visit http://stingauction.sarnia.com/ to place your bids.
