Edmonton Elks News Release
(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the addition of Jonathan Himebauch to the coaching staff as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
Himebauch is entering his 15th season as a coach and his 13th as an offensive line coach. He began his Canadian Football League coaching career in 2003 as the offensive line coach for the Calgary Stampeders and later went on to serve three seasons (2009-11) as the offensive line coach for the Montreal Alouettes. During his time with the Alouettes, the offensive line was consistently among the top in the league for fewest sacks allowed and helped produce 1,000-yard rushers.
Himebauch was also the offensive line coach for Wake Forest, San Diego State, UNLV, Santa Barbara City College and Damien High School. He also served as head coach for Harvard-Westlake High School.
A former offensive lineman and long-snapper, the University of Southern California alumnus played for the Toronto Argonauts; the NFL's Arizona Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs; the XFL's Los Angeles Xtreme; and the NFL Europe's Rhein Fire.
