IceMen Assigned Forward Aleardi

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville IceMen have been assigned forward Alex Aleardi from the Springfield Falcons, the organization s AHL affiliate.

Aleardi, 21, has played in 40 games with the Falcons this season. He has recorded 15 points on seven goals and eight assists and has a +6 rating this campaign.

The 5 9, 170-pound winger appeared in just three game for Springfield in 2012-13, scoring two points a goal and an assist. He spent the other portion of last season with the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL.

The Fort Wayne, Ind. native spent five seasons in the OHL between the Kitchener Rangers (2008-10), Belleville Bulls (2009-10), Plymouth Whalers (2010-13) and Windsor (2012-13). Collectively, he played in 321 games and recorded 227 points on 104 goals and 123 assists.

Aleardi and the IceMen hit the road to face the Greenville Road Warriors Friday and South Carolina Stingrays Saturday. Puck drops at 6 p.m. and 6:05 p.m. respectively, as Evansville looks to regain momentum and climb back up the Eastern Conference standings.
