Moose Jaw Warriors News Release

CIBC Read to Succeed is designed to emphasize the importance of reading, receiving a good education and lifelong learning. Players from the Moose Jaw Warriors set an example for elementary students and promote the importance of literacy to students through classroom visits. Players spend time reading to students, and answering questions from the students in the school.

"CIBC has been a major supporter of the Warriors and our educational programs for years," commented Warriors Director of Business Operations Corey Nyhagen. "It is partnerships such as these that allow the players to reach out into schools and lend a hand, encouraging youth in the city of the importance of literacy in their education."

Led by fan favourites such as Captain Sam Fioretti, Tanner Eberle, and Justin Paulic, the Warriors visited schools in the Prairie South School Division and the Holy Trinity Catholic School Division throughout the course of the regular season. To underscore the importance of reading, each student received a special edition CIBC Read to Succeed bookmark.

"CIBC cares about nurturing and education Canada's young people so they can build a better future. That is why we are proud to support the Western Hockey League's reading programs," says Tom Weber, Region Head, Central Canada, CIBC.

The Moose Jaw Warriors are pleased to recognize CIBC for their commitment to giving youth the opportunity to reach their full potential.
