SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have reassigned goaltender Christopher Smith to the St. John's Privateers of the Newfoundland and Labrador Major Midget Hockey League (NLMMHL).
Smith, 17, joined the Sea Dogs last week.
The St. John's-native earned his first Quebec Major Junior Hockey League victory in his first-ever game, stopping 26 shots in a 5-3 triumph over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan Saturday at the K. C. Irving Regional Centre.
He also dressed for two other games as the back-up goaltender.
