8,761 Watch Mallards Down St. Charles

MOLINE, Ill. - A crowd of 8,761 saw the Quad City Mallards defeat the St. Charles Chill 6-3 tonight at the iWireless Center.

This evening's throng is not only the largest to watch the Mallards in action at home this season but also the largest to attend any Central Hockey League contest all season.

Tonight's gathering is the largest for a Mallards home game since 9,347 streamed into the iWireless Center on January 19, 2013.

Over the last two evenings, 13,321 fans have come out to see the Mallards- 4,560 fans were on hand for the Mallards' 5-2 loss to Allen last night- the largest attendance total for back-to-back home games this season. The Mallards last drew more fans on consecutive evenings when 13,379 fans saw the Flock take the ice on January 18 and January 19, 2013.

The Mallards have now drawn an average of 6,069 fans to their last four weekend home games.

The Mallards and Chill meet again tomorrow in St. Charles. The Mallards next play at home next Friday night at 7:05 p.m. against the Rapid City Rush. Next Friday is another $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X. $1 hot dogs and beers are available at iWireless Center concession stands during each of the Mallards' 11 Friday night home games this season.

Tickets for next Friday night's game and all Mallards regular season home games can be purchased at the iWireless Center ticket office, Ticketmaster outlets, through ticketmaster.com or through Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The ticket office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.
