Tulsa Shock and Williams Seek Women of Inspiration Nominees

Tulsa, Okla. - For the fourth consecutive year, Williams and the Tulsa Shock have partnered to honor inspirational women who serve Tulsa and the surrounding area with relentless dedication and passion while impacting the lives of area youth and the entire community.

"Williams is proud to partner with the Tulsa Shock, a team of women who inspire others through their professional and community dedication," said Robyn Ewing, SVP and Chief Administrative Officer at Williams. "A Shock game is the perfect venue to celebrate some of Tulsa's most inspirational women."

The 2013 Williams Women of Inspiration honorees were Melissa Baker, Stephanie Jackson, Brenda Lloyd-Jones, Carlisha Williams and the 2013 winner, Jo Bright.

One honoree will be awarded a trip to the 2014 National Women of Inspiration Luncheon celebration. Past National Women of Inspiration speakers include the US Women's Olympic athletes, Katie Couric, Condoleezza Rice and Robin Roberts.

"The Tulsa Shock is proud to partner with Williams for the fourth consecutive year to recognize deserving inspirational women in our community," Shock President Steve Swetoha said. "With this year being the fifth season in Tulsa, our Williams Women of Inspiration celebration will have a special meaning to the Shock and the community."

All 2014 nominees will be invited to attend a pre-game reception hosted at the BOK Center before a 2014 Shock home game that will include a guest speaker. Nominees will also receive two tickets to the game. The five honorees will receive a concourse table to promote an organization or cause of their choice, four tickets to the game, on court recognition, $50 gift certificate to Wild Fork, $100 gift certificate to J'nar Spa and Salon and an appreciation award from Williams and the Tulsa Shock.
