How they Fared Last Week:

Prince Albert: 3-2 Win - The Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a pair of goals from Josh Morrissey in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Hurricanes finally found the back of the net and ended their scoreless drought at 152:05 when Jamal Watson got his stick on a Bryton Sayers shot and his 13th of the season made it a 2-1 game after the opening 20 minutes. Lethbridge tied it up on a goal from Taylor Cooper with just over 3 minutes to play in the second period. The Canes continued to get chances for the lead and the go-ahead goal finally came at 13:25 of the 3rd when Brady Ramsay scored his 12th of the season. The 3-2 go ahead goal proved to be the game winner as the Hurricanes end their eight game losing slide with the 3-2 win.

Rebels: 6-5 Win (Shootout): - It was a wild; back and forth game between the Hurricanes and Rebels. Red Deer opened up the scoring on a shorthanded goal from Rhyse Dieno just 4 minutes into the game. The Canes answered on the same PP only 33 seconds later to even the game on a goal from Reid Duke. A pair of Brooks Maxwell PPG's just two minutes apart made it 3-1 but before the period was over, Carter Folk scored making it a 3-2 game after 20 minutes. The teams traded goals in the 2nd and it was 4-3 Rebels after two periods. Red Deer held a 2 goal lead for the 3rd time on another PP just 3 minutes into the 3rd period, but the Hurricanes fought back once again. Down 5-3, they pulled within a goal when Kolten Olynek scored on the PP and then Duke added his second of the game and we were off to OT. The extra 5 minutes solved nothing and in the 5th round of the shootout, Kolten Olynek scored (the only one to score in the shootout) for the 6-5 Hurricanes win.
