Americans Win 4-2 over the Rebels

Taz Burman got the start in net for the Rebels as they looked to rebound from a shootout loss at home to Lethbridge on Friday.
FIRST PERIOD
The Americans struck first 10:39 when Justin Gutierrez pounced on a loose puck to score his 2nd of the season. Beau McCue made it 2-0 when he fought off a backcheck from Kayle Doetzel to net his 16th of the season.
SECOND PERIOD
The Rebels got on the board early in the middle frame while on the powerplay. Rhyse Dieno's wrist shot from the point was tipped home by Evan Polei for his 6th goal of the season. Grayson Pawlenchuk also assisted on the 2-1 goal at 6:07.
Tri City retook at two-goal lead when Red Deer's own Mitch Topping blasted home a 5-on-3 goal, his 4th of the season, at 13:30.
THIRD PERIOD
Conner Bleackley ended his two game pointless streak when he found the loose puck, after Haydn Fleury hit the crossbar with his shot, and slid home his 23rd goal of the year. Dieno earned the second assist on the 3-2 goal at 7:26 of the third.
Brian Williams sealed the game for the Americans with an empty net goal at 19:31, final score 4-2.
