Tonight's Miracles Game Postponed Due to Deteriorating Nova Scotia Road Conditions

January 29, 2014 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) - Moncton Miracles News Release

The Miracles vs. Rainmen game set to be played at the Moncton Coliseum this evening (January 29th ) has been canceled due to deteriorating weather and road conditions in Nova Scotia. Road conditions in Halifax have been steadily worsening as the region faces snowfalls of an estimated 5 cm, accompanied by high-winds throughout the day; causing many schools in the area to be closed. With the wind and snow carrying into the evening, the League has made the executive decision to postpone tonight's match in order to prevent the Halifax Rainmen from traveling into New Brunswick through dangerous conditions. The safety of the teams is always the number one priority of the NBL-C.

A rescheduled date has yet to be decided upon, but will be announced to the public as soon as possible. Upon a confirmation of a rescheduled date the Moncton Miracles organization will provide information to fans via the Miracles Basketball Website, Facebook Page, Twitter Page, and through a Press Release to all media outlets. All tickets from tonight's game will be honoured at the rescheduled date.

The Miracles play their next Home Game this Friday, January 31st against the Ottawa Skyhawks at 7PM. They play again on Sunday, February 2nd against the Saint John Mill Rats in a game prior to which the Miracles and Sun Life Financial will be hosting a Courtside Tailgate event in celebration of Superbowl Sunday. Doors will open at 1PM to this event which will include food, bouncy castles, face painting and more.
