Sea Dogs Recall Gaudet; Porter Reassigned

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have recalled goaltender Chase Gaudet from the Yarmouth Mariners of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.

The 19-year-old native of Summerside, P.E.I., is an affiliate player with the Sea Dogs.

Gaudet is in his third season with the Mariners, compiling a record of 12-7 with a 3.42 goals-against average and a .884 save percentage in 21 games.

He also played nine games last season with Shawinigan as a free-agent signee of the Cataractes, posting a record of 0-5 with a 6.17 goals-against average and a .819 save percentage.

Gaudet will join the team for its upcoming road trip through Quebec.

In a corresponding move, affiliate player and goaltender Kyle Porter has been reassigned to the Saint John Vito's of the NB-PEI Midget AAA Hockey League.

Porter dressed for five games with the Sea Dogs over the past two weeks, but did not appear in a game.

The Sea Dogs' next game is Wednesday, January 29th, at 8 p.m. when they battle the Shawinigan Cataractes at Centre Gervais Auto. Listen LIVE on News 88.9 FM. Watch LIVE on TELUS (via theqmjhl.ca - fee applies).
