Philadelphia Union Announce 2014 Preseason Schedule

Chester, Pa. (Jan. 21, 2013) - Philadelphia Union released today their 2014 preseason schedule. The Union will train at YSC Sports in Wayne, Pa. before heading south to Central Florida to continue training, including participation in the Disney Pro Soccer Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Players will report to camp on Saturday, Jan. 25 and begin training at YSC Sports in the following days. The Union fly to Florida Feb. 2, with the Disney Pro Soccer Classic beginning Feb. 19. The Union will compete amongst the likes of New York Red Bulls, Montreal Impact, Sporting Kansas City, Columbus Crew, Toronto FC, Orlando City and Brazilian side Fluminense's U-23 squad.

Philadelphia Union will host a Meet the Team and jersey unveiling event March 4, which will also have the final round of the Union's "Start Your Journey" broadcast competition. Time and location, along with full details, will be released at a later date.

The Union begin their 2014 MLS campaign on the road at JELD-WEN Field against the Portland Timbers on March 8 (10:30 p.m. ET, with the home opener at PPL Park played March 15 against the New England Revolution (4 p.m. ET), presented by Farmers Insurance.

January 25: Players report to camp

January 27-31: Team Trains at YSC Sports ( 224 County Line Rd Wayne, PA ), with training open to media during the 15 minutes and player availability following training

Wednesday, Jan. 29: Open Training for fans at YSC Sports (10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 2:30-4:30 p.m.)

February 1: Team Off

February 2-13: Preseason Training Florida (See attached Itinerary Trip #1)

February 7-9: Preseason Fan Trip

Saturday, Feb. 8: Scrimmage vs. University of North Florida at Dewey O. Boster Sports Complex (6:00 p.m. ET)

Sunday, Feb. 9: Preseason Fan Trip Open Training Session, 10:00 a.m.

February 14-17: Team Off

February 18 - March 1 or 2: Preseason Training in Florida

Wednesday, Feb. 19: Philadelphia Union vs. Orlando City (6:00 p.m. ET)

Saturday, Feb. 22: Philadelphia Union vs. Columbus Crew (1:00 p.m. ET)

Wednesday, Feb. 26: Philadelphia Union vs. Toronto FC (1:00 p.m. ET)

Saturday, March 1: Philadelphia Union vs. TBD (time TBD)

March 4: Meet the Team Event and Jersey Unveiling, location TBD

March 8: Philadelphia Union at Portland Timbers, JELD-WEN Field (10:30 p.m. ET)

March 15: Philadelphia Union vs. New England Revolution, Presented by Farmers Insurance, PPL Park (4 p.m. ET)
