Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks earned a 15-12 victory in the first of four regular season meetings against the Vancouver Stealth Saturday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Shawn Evans paced the Roughnecks with three goals and six assists, while Dane Dobbie had a strong game, netting five goals and adding one helper. Daryl Veltman (3g, 2a) and Jeff Shattler (2g, 3a) both posted five-point efforts in the win, while Scott Ranger set up four goals for Calgary. Goals by Curtis Dickson and Mike Carnegie completed Calgary's season-high 15-goal performance.

Rhys Duch led the visiting Stealth with a hat trick and two assists, while Cliff Smith scored one goal and set up three others. The Stealth received three-point efforts from Lewis Ratcliff (2g, 1a) and Tyler Garrison (1g, 2a) as well as goals by Nick Weiss, Tyler Digby, Billy Hostrawser, Mike Grimes and Jeff Moleski in the loss.

Calgary goaltender Mike Poulin made 28 saves to record his second win of the season, while Tyler Richards turned aside 45 of 60 shots in defeat.

The Roughnecks (2-2) return to action next Saturday, Jan. 25, when Calgary hosts the Colorado Mammoth (1-5) at 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
