Sweep: Jr. Blues Take 2 vs. Tomahawks

The Jr. Blues have been busy since the holiday break playing 8 games going 5-3-0 since Christmas. This stretch has been highlighted by Stefanos Lekkas being named player of the week for stopping 91 of 93 shots versus Topeka 12/27-28. The team is also coming off a sweep of 2nd place Johnstown Tomahawks this past weekend.
The Jr. Blues are back on the ice this weekend versus Topeka Roadrunners Friday and Saturday night.
Jr. Blues Host Roadrunners
The Jr. Blues host the Topeka Roadrunners this weekend. Topeka was idle last weekend sitting in 2nd place in the South Division with a 21-11-4 record. However the Jr. Blues are 5-3-0 against the Roadrunners this season. Their last meeting the Roadrunners won 2-0 on Friday night and lost 1-0 in a shootout on Saturday.
Jr. Blues Sweep Hold off Johnstown

The Jr. Blues scored first charging to a 3-0 lead before Johnstown answered back to tie the game at 3 in the second period.
The Jr. Blues would take a 4-3 lead into the 3rd period with a power-play goal from Alex Baskakov
Johnstown would not go quietly as they tied the game at 4-4 before Mike Severson would score the game winner in the 3rd period.
The Jr. Blues were lead by Trevor Stone and Alex Baskakov each with 3 points in the game. Also the Jr. Blues power-play got back on track going 3-7 in the game.
Stefanos Lekkas stopped 23-27 shots in the win.
Jr. Blues Sweep Johnstown
Win 4-2
The Jr. Blues were able earn their first sweep since opening weekend with a 4-2 win versus Johnstown Tomahawks on Saturday night.
The Jr. Blues jumped out to a 2-1 first period lead with goals from Max Kalter and Josh Lammon. They would add goals from Kevin Shand and Lester Lancaster in the second period to lead 4-1 going into the 3rd period.
Johnstown would score to make it 4-2 before Lekkas and the Jr. Blues closed the door for the win.
Stefanos Lekkas stopped 23 of 25 shots in the win.

The Jr. Blues have once again partnered with Neuhoff Media to spotlight the team and keep fans informed of team doings.
Bondsy's Hockey Stool : The Jr. Blues will do a featured player of the week that will visit Kiss FM's Morning show every Wednesday of home weekends at 8:30 am. The show will Feature Coach Tony Zasowski and a Select Jr. Blue including a 10 question rapid fire by Bondsy.
Behind the Bench with Coach Zow
This is a new 15 minute radio segment where Host Andrew Harby and Coach Tony Zasowski will talk in depth about the Jr. Blues.
