Jason Dickinson Named Hy Grade Steel Roofing Player of the Week

The Guelph Storm announced today that forward Jason Dickinson is the HY GRADE STEEL ROOFING Player of the Week for the week ending January 12th.

Dickinson was the Storm's leading scorer this weekend picking up six points in three games. Held off the scoresheet on Thursday night in Niagara, the Dallas Stars first round pick was named third star on Friday recording an assist on three of the Storm's five goals in the 5-3 victory over conference rivals, the London Knights. On Sunday against the Rangers, Dickinson was given third star honours again setting up three goals in the Storm's 5-0 win.

In 43 games this season, Dickinson is tied for fourth in team scoring with 48 points along with Kerby Rychel. He has 17 goals and 31 assists. In his last 11 games, the Orangeville native he has recorded 13 points. With his six points this weekend, he has surpassed his career best 47 points recorded in 66 games last year.

Next up, the Storm have a rare Friday off in Storm City as they travel to Kitchener to take on the Rangers for the second time in a week. Saturday they head to Erie in a 'must-win' battle between the OHL's top two teams before returning home on Sunday night to face off against the Frontenacs. Game time is 6:30 pm.
