SALTILLO, Mexico - Hidalgo La Fiera road win streak continued as they defeated Saltillo Rancho Seco on Saturday night by final score of 9-1 at the Deportivo RSS.
The win for La Fiera (9-1) keeps them in second place of the Central Division of the PASL standings with a key matchup against the Monterrey Flash on Sunday evening.
The win streak is up to five games and it started with a road win at Tulsa on November 22, 2013.
Hidalgo scored four goals in the first quarter which was highlighted by goals by Leonardo Casanova, Joel Perez, Erick Flores, and Juan Jalomo which gave them a 4-0 after one quarter of play.
Saltillo (4-6) would get their lone consolation goal in the second quarter on a power play goal by Cesar Cerda which was after Hidalgo goal by Perez to make it 5-1. Robson De Souza would make it 6-1 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Hidalgo would continue its scoring ways when a power play goal by Armando Teran increased to 7-1. Mark Ughy made 8-1 on a pass from Carlos Farias before the end of the third quarter.
La Fiera ended the scoring in the final quarter when Flores scored his second goal of the game which was assisted by Jorge Quiroz making it 9-1.
Hidalgo La Fiera will end a three game road trip which cap off in Monterrey against the Flash at the Monterrey Arena with the kickoff set for 5:05 pm.
The next game for Hidalgo La Fiera is on Sunday, January 18th when they host the Monterrey Flash at State Farm Arena with the kickoff set for 5:05 pm.
