Power Lose Close Game to A's in Brampton

(Mississauga, ON -) The Mississauga Power traveled across the city tonight to take on the A's at the Powerade Centre. An early 14 point lead by the Power was not enough, as the team lost 113-106. Three players for the Power scored 20 or more points. Kirk Williams Jr. led all scorers with 24, Morgan Lewis scored 22 and Dwight McCombs added 20 points. Greg Plummer scored 11 points in his Power debut. Scottie Haralson led the A's with 21 points.

The Power got off to a fast start, going on a 11-0 run late in the first quarter, leading to a 37-23 lead after one quarter. The A's responded with a 15-3 run in the second quarter, cutting the Power's lead to 10 heading to halftime.

The A's brought their momentum into the second half, allowing only 15 third quarter points from the Power while scoring 29 of their own. The Power went into the final quarter down 73-79. The two teams played evenly in the third, exchanging leads back and forth. The Power were down 106-107 with 40 seconds left in the game. A late basket by Steven Idlet put the A's up three, followed by a steal by the A's to secure the win. The Power lost 106-113 to fall to 7-20 for the season.

The Power return to the Hershey Centre this Thursday to face the Ottawa SkyHawks.
