Cougars Acquire Goaltender Adam Beukeboom from Vancouver

Prince George, B.C. - The Prince George Cougars have acquired 1994-born goaltender Adam Beukeboom (Sundre, AB) from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for a seventh round WHL Bantam Draft pick in 2016.

Beukeboom (5'11", 190 pounds) last played in the WHL in 2011-2012 as a member of the Regina Pats. In 19 games with the Pats, he finished with a record of 5-6-2-0 with a 3.08 goals-against-average, an .898 save percentage and one shutout. He also dressed in two playoff games for the Pats that season.

Last season, Beukeboom played with the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In 35 games, he finished 19-12-3 with three shutouts, a 2.65 goals-against-average and a .903 save percentage. This season in 10 games with the Dragons, Beukeboom is 7-3 with a .917 save percentage and a 2.39 goals-against-average.

Beukeboom will join the Cougars in time for Friday's game against the Vancouver Giants.
