The Canton Charge have acquired forward Olek Czyz (6'8", 240, Nevada) from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in exchange for the rights to the Reno Bighorns' second round draft choice in the 2014 NBA D-League Draft and the rights to guard Brady Morningstar. Canton had previously acquired the pick from Reno on December 6th in exchange for forward Tyrell Biggs.

Czyz had played in 11 games with Fort Wayne this season (eight starts) and is averaging 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.9 steals in 21.3 minutes per game. He had a stint in training camp with the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2013-14 preseason, playing in four games and averaging 4.8 points on .667 shooting with 1.0 rebound and 1.0 steal in 10.6 minutes per game. Czyz also played professionally in Italy for Acea Virtus Roma during the 2012-13 season.

Canton has the rights to eight 2014 draft picks: six of their original selections (first, second, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth) as well as Los Angeles' second round choice and the Texas Legends' third round pick. The current roster now stands at eleven, while Czyz will be active for tonight's game in Bakersfield.

The Charge begin a stint of eight consecutive games away from home when they visit the west coast and the Bakersfield Jam tonight at 10:00 p.m. Fans can follow all of the action with live stats and a live YouTube stream of the game on CantonCharge.com.
