Kalamazoo will begin the home stand tomorrow, Tuesday, December 31st with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Cincinnati Cyclones during the 12th Annual New Year's Bash, presented by COOL 101 and WWMT. For the 12th straight year the K-Wings will host the best family entertainment destination for New Year's Eve.

Following tomorrow night's game, the K-Wings will host a postgame bash featuring a live DJ in The Cube and an appearance from the players, as well as a public skate in both Wings Stadium and The Annex. Also to celebrate the event, the K-Wings will debut their 40th anniversary jerseys.

Fans looking for a healthy New Year's Resolution can compete in the K-Wings Biggest Loser competition. Anyone coming to the game on January 3rd can be weighed to be part of the season long completion. Fans will be weighed again during the K-Wings last regular season home game, individual that loses the most weight will receive a FREE six-month member to the Kalamazoo Athletic Club and $500 in cash and prizes.

The K-Wings are 3-2-0-1 against the Cyclones, who start the week in first place (18-8-1-1, 38 points) in the North Division.

Wings Stadium -Nick Bootland Bobblehead Night- First 2,000 fans through the Main Doors (doors 1 and 10) of the main lobby of Wings Stadium will receive a limited edition bobblehead

This will be Kalamazoo's first bobblehead giveaway in 12 years. The first 2,000 fans that come through the main entrances (Doors 1 and 10) of Wings Stadium will receive a limited edition Nick Bootland Bobblehead that features Bootland in half K-Wings jersey and have suit.

Bootland played for the K-Wings for four seasons (2003-2008), was captain for three of those years, and was a member of the team's last championship season in 2005-2006. With 212 victories, Bootland is also the K-Wings all-time leader in coaching victories.

The K-Wings are 2-2-0-0 versus the Walleye, who start the week in fifth place in the North Division (8-15-3-0, 19 points)

Slappy New Year The K-Wings will begin a three-game home stand this Tuesday during the 12th Annual New Year's Eve Bash. Kalamazoo is 6-3-0-2 all-time in the yearly classic and are 3-1-0-0 since joining the ECHL, which includes three straight victories.

Reid Between the Lines Defenseman Elgin Reid has been on a scoring tear. Reid enters tonight on a four-game point streak and a team season-high tying four-game assist streak. .

Historic Run

Kalamazoo's six-game road winning streak was snapped with a 5-2 loss last Saturday to the Reading Royals. The six-game streak was the longest road winning streak in K-Wings ECHL history.

Mr. 300 Forward Aaron Clarke is closing in on a personal milestone. Clarke needs three more points to reach 300 in his career.

The Obscure Stat of the Week

Kalamazoo established a their own team ECHL records for both penalty minutes in a game (70) and in a single period (51 in the third period) during last Saturday's game against Reading. The 70 minutes in penalties were the most for the K-Wings since the 2005-06 season when they registered 106 PIMS against the Muskegon Fury (UHL); the organization's record for most PIMS in a single-game is 151against the Milwaukee Admirals (IHL) during the 1989-90 season.
