Missouri's Dave Pszenyczny Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (December 23, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Missouri Mavericks defenseman Dave Pszenyczny has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending December 22, 2013.

The veteran finished with a goal, three assists and a +4 plus/minus rating in the Mavericks 2-0 week. On Friday, Pszenyczny had three first period assists helping his team to a 4-1 lead after one frame and eventually a 6-1 victory over the St. Charles Chill. On Saturday, the Sterling Heights, Michigan native broke a 2-2 tie with less than three minutes remaining by scoring his first game winning goal of the season.

Pszenyczny is one of the steadiest defensemen in the league and has been a finalist for the CHL Most Outstanding Defenseman award each of the past two seasons. This year, the 6-0, 192-pound d-man has two goals and 11 assists and is a +8 in 18 games for the second place Mavericks.
