Patrik Bartosak with His Second Shutout of the Season: Rebels Win 4-0

CRANBROOK, BC - Patrik Bartosak made 35 saves in the Rebels net, Red Deer won 4-0 Friday in Cranbrook against the Kootenay Ice.

The Rebels got the scoring started in the first period when Conner Bleackley scored.  Bleackley and Haydn Fleury found out earlier in the day that they were both selected to play in the BMO CHL/NHL Top Prospects game January 15th in Calgary.  Brooks Maxwell also scored in the first period and the Rebels were up 2-0 after 1 period. 

There was no scoring in the second period.

In the third, Brooks Maxwell got his second goal of the night and it was 3-0.  Brady Gaudet added an empty-net shorthanded marker and the Rebels won 4-0.  Patrik Bartosak was solid in goal with 35 saves.  It was Bartosak's second shutout of the season and the 8th of his WHL career.

Brooks Maxwell ended the night with 2 goals and 1 assist.

The Rebels are at home Saturday as they host the Lethbridge Hurricanes for a 7:00PM game, the broadcast on 106.7 The Drive starts at 6:30PM.
