Portland Pirates News Release
Lewiston, ME - The Pirates will be in Providence tonight looking for their third straight victory over the Providence this week. Puck drops at 7 for the 5th meeting between the two teams this year. The Pirates and Bruins played the second game of their three game stretch on Wednesday at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee, with the Pirates winning 4-3 in a shootout. Daine Todd scored his first professional goal in the first period, and Lucas Lessio and Brandon Shinnimin added goals to tie the game at 3. After a scoreless overtime, Mark Visentin shut the Bruins out in the shootout, while both Andy Miele and Brandon McMillan score to give the Pirates the win. The shootout victory was the first time the Pirates have won a shootout at home this season, and their second shootout win of the year. Tobias Rieder had an assist on Todd's goal, extending his personal point streak to 3 games.
