Miracles Release Anto Raic

December 8, 2013 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Moncton Miracles News Release

The Moncton Miracles have officially announced the release of Canadian Forward Anto Raic. The decision to release Raic is based upon the nature of building the strongest roster on the court. The Miracles organization continues to focus on building a strong and competitive team. Coach Truax said, "Anto is a great kid. Works hard on and off the court. But unfortunately we aren't playing competitive Miracles Ball right now and changes need to be made. Cordell met the Team in Brampton and has been practicing with us all week. He dropped 20 lbs and has gotten stronger. Cordell is a Canadian and plays the 4/5 position which we need depth especially with Sly's injury. Unfortunately it meant having to release Anto. It was a tough decision but one the organization had to make."

The Miracles will be playing the Windsor Express tonight (Sunday, December 8th) and the Island Storm in PEI on Tuesday. The team will return to the Moncton Coliseum for their next home game on December 12th which has been designated as the Christmas game. The Miracles will be taking on the Saint John Mill Rats in a game which promises to be a great opportunity to kick-off the Holiday Season. The Miracles will be hosting an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. So make sure to wear your ugly Christmas Sweater to win 2 Hollywood Seats to the December 28th Game! The Miracles will play two more home games in December, both against the Island Storm. December 27th will be "Kid's Night," which will include bouncy houses, face painting, and local mascot performances. The following night, December 28th, will be Adult Night for which fans can receive a free adult ticket with the purchase of a child's ticket in designated sections or $2.00 off their regular priced game ticket when they show their December 27th game ticket at the box office. The Moncton Miracles appreciate the continued support of our fans this holiday season, and look forward to these upcoming games.
