A 37-Save Effort by Patrik Bartosak: Rebels Win 2-1

MEDICINE HAT, AB - The Rebels started their three straight road games with a 2-1 win in Medicine Hat on Friday. Patrik Bartosak was solid in goal making 37 saves to pick up the victory.

The Tigers got on the board first, Curtis Valk scored at 10:59 of the first period to extend his personal point streak to eight games. The Rebels tied it at 18:13 of the first period on a goal by Scott Feser. Feser was playing his first game of the year, after being re-called from Okotoks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League on Wednesday.

In the second period, Wyatt Johnson gave the Rebels the 2-1 lead with a goal at 11:51. The goal came as a Tiger penalty expired just two seconds earlier.

There was no scoring in the third period, although the Tigers were putting on the pressure. Patrik Bartosak made 16 saves in the third period. The Rebels were 0 for 4 on the power play and killed all 3 shorthanded situations.
