Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON (Monday, Nov. 25, 2013) -- Major League Soccer announced the 2014 league schedule on Monday, including the Houston Dynamo's 34-game slate for its ninth season in Houston.

The Dynamo open their season against the New England Revolution on Saturday, March 8 at BBVA Compass Stadium in a game featuring a pair of 2013 Eastern Conference playoff teams. The home opener will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT.

The 17-game BBVA Compass Stadium home schedule includes the Texas Derby as the Dynamo host FC Dallas on April 5. The home slate also features visits from the LA Galaxy (May 17) and the finalists in the 2013 Western Conference Championship, the Portland Timbers (April 27) and Real Salt Lake (May 11).

The 2014 home schedule includes two games with Eastern Conference rival Montreal Impact (March 15 and Sept. 6) and two games against New England (March 8 and Oct. 16). Two of Houston's 2013 playoff opponents - the New York Red Bulls (July 4) and Sporting Kansas City (June 6) - will make only one visit to Houston in 2014.

The Dynamo will conclude the home schedule with consecutive home games against D.C. United (Oct. 12) and New England (Oct. 16) before the season finale at Chicago on Oct. 24.

The 2014 home schedule includes seven Saturday home dates, five Sunday home games, three Friday home dates, and one Wednesday and Thursday home match.

Major League Soccer will continue to play an unbalanced schedule in 2014. The Dynamo will play each Western Conference team once, seven Eastern Conference teams three times and two Eastern Conference teams (Sporting Kansas City and Chicago) twice.

While single game tickets are not yet available, fans can purchase tickets to all games via Dynamo season tickets, with 10-game and 5-game plans also available. Full-season ticket packages start at $390, with partial season ticket packages starting at $99. In addition, the Dynamo will continue to offer a Family Season Ticket Package for the 2014 season. For every full price adult season ticket purchased for $400, fans can purchase an additional season ticket for a child 10 years or younger for just $200, located in the Texas Children's Health Plan Family Section.
