Harrisburg Heat Sign Lester FelicianNovember 14, 2013 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) Harrisburg Heat
Terms of the contract were not announced.
Felician's indoor career, which started in 1998 with Cleveland of the National Professional Soccer League, had been cut short a decade ago by a knee injury.
After his initial retirement from playing, Felician, now 43, coached locally at Harrisburg's Bishop McDevitt High School, Penn State's Harrisburg branch campus and Carlisle High School, as well as various youth teams in the Harrisburg area.
Felician is no stranger to the Heat, having played with the original franchise alongside current Heat head coach Richard Chinapoo and assistant coach Gino DiFlorio. He has been working out with the current Heat since the second- year teambegan training camp last month at Sports City Harrisburg.
Like Chinapoo, Felician is a native of Trinidad and Tobago. And, like Chinapoo, Felician arrived in the United States to play in college. In Felician's case, that was Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss.
Felician also was a member of Trinidad and Tobago's National Team from 1992-97, during which time he also was an NAIA All-American selection at Belhaven.
His indoor stops, starting in 1988 with Cleveland, have included the Kansas City Comets, Baltimore Blast and, of course, the original Heat.
