Huntsville's Rob Florentino Named Easton Player of the Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (November 12, 2013) - The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced rookie defenseman Rob Florentino of the Huntsville Havoc is the Easton Player of the Week for November 4-10.
Florentino scored two goals, added four assists and was +4 as the Havoc swept a pair of games over the weekend, moving into a tie for second place in the standings.
On Friday, the West Roxbury, MA native scored a power-play goal and added three assists in Huntsville's 7-2 win over Peoria. Florentino came back on Sunday by scoring the tying goal in the second period and adding an assist in a 5-2 come-from-behind win over the Pensacola Ice Flyers.
Florentino joined the Havoc following a stellar career at the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Selected as an assistant captain his senior year, Florentino became just the second player in program history to be named an American Hockey Coaches Association All-American (Third Team). In just three seasons with the Beacons, he finished his career third all-time amongst UMass Boston defenseman with 64 career points. Florentino currently leads all SPHL defensemen with six assists, while his nine points and +6 rating ranks second amongst blue-liners.
