David 'The Caveman' Rickels to Drop Puck at Saturday's Game vs. Tulsa

Wichita, KS (November 12th) - Derby native and local Bellator star David Rickels has represented Wichita well across the world and this Saturday, the Caveman is coming to INTRUST Bank Arena to drop the ceremonial face-off as the Thunder host the Tulsa Oilers, the team announced today.

Rickels, 24, competed as a wrestler at Derby High School and made his Bellator debut on April 9th, 2011 at Bellator 40 where he beat formerly undefeated Dylan Smith by a first-round triangle choke submission. He was a semi-finalist in the 2012 Welterweight Bellator Tournament and winner of the 2013 Bellator Light Weight Tournament. Ranked #30 in the World Lightweight Rankings, the 5-foot-11, 155-pounder carries a professional record of 15-2, four wins by TKO, six by submission and five decisions. He recently defeated JJ Ambrose at Bellator 103 in the third round by TKO, which took place at the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, KS.

The Thunder head to Tulsa tonight to take on the Oilers for the first of three consecutive games. The two teams return to Wichita for a pair of games beginning on Friday, November 15th, which is Veteran's Night. All military personnel receive a free ticket to the game with a valid ID and all their family members can receive tickets for just $5! The night is presented by Metro Flooring and Design. Saturday night is Guy's Night Out, presented by Hajoca.
