2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup Schedule and Game Times

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League in association with the 2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup Host Committee today announced the schedule and start times for the 96th edition of the prestigious National Championship which takes place May 16-25 at Budweiser Gardens in London, ON.
The action begins on Friday May 16 when the host London Knights open against the QMJHL champions at 7:00 pm Eastern. The next afternoon round-robin action continues with the OHL champions facing the WHL champions on Saturday May 17 at 4:00 pm Eastern, with all other round-robin games along with the Tie-Breaker and Semi-Final contests to have 7:00 pm Eastern start times. The Championship Final takes place on Sunday May 25 with a start time to be confirmed at a later date.
All nine games of the championship will be broadcast live on Sportsnet and TVA Sports.
2014 MasterCard Memorial Cup Schedule (All times are Eastern and are subject to change):
Round-Robin Game 1 - QMJHL vs. London on Friday May 16 at 7:00 pm
Round-Robin Game 2 - OHL vs. WHL on Saturday May 17 at 4:00 pm
Round-Robin Game 3 - London vs. WHL on Sunday May 18 at 7:00 pm
Round-Robin Game 4 - OHL vs. QMJHL on Monday May 19 at 7:00 pm
Round-Robin Game 5 - WHL vs. QMJHL on Tuesday May 20 at 7:00 pm
Round-Robin Game 6 - London vs. OHL on Wednesday May 21 at 7:00 pm
Tie-Breaker (if necessary) - Thursday May 22 at 7:00 pm
Semi-Final - Friday May 23 at 7:00 pm
Championship Final - Sunday May 25 time to be confirmed
Since the round-robin format of the event was introduced in 1972, the Ontario Hockey League has won a total of 14 Memorial Cup Championships including 2005 when the Knights last hosted the event. Last season the QMJHL's Halifax Mooseheads captured their first title in franchise history with a 6-4 win over the WHL's Portland Winterhawks.
