Six Tiger-Cats Named East Division All-Stars

HAMILTON - Six Hamilton Tiger-Cats have earned spots on the East Division All-Star team: running back C.J. Gable, receiver Bakari Grant, right guard Greg Wojt, defensive end Brandon Boudreaux, punter Josh Bartel and special teams ace Marc Beswick.
Gable led all East Division players with 782 rushing yards and 1,382 yards from scrimmage this season. The Ticats Most Outstanding Rookie also scored 12 touchdowns and caught 55 passes for 600 receiving yards.
Grant posted career highs and led the Black and Gold with 69 receptions and 947 receiving yards while also scoring two touchdowns.
Wojt, the team's Most Outstanding Lineman, anchored the Ticats offensive line while suiting up at both right guard and right tackle this year.
Boudreaux registered 28 defensive tackles, seven quarterback sacks, three tackles for a loss and one forced fumble in 11 games during his second CFL season.
This season, Bartel launched 112 punts for 4,897 yards - an average of 43.7 yards per punt. He has now earned East Division All-Star status in each of his two CFL seasons.
Beswick led the league with 24 special teams tackles and earned the Ticats Most Outstanding Special Teams Player honour last week. Beswick also forced one fumble and scored his first career touchdown on a fake field goal in his fifth season with the Ticats.
The Division All-Stars were selected by a group of 77 voters, including members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) and CFL head coaches.
The East Division All-Stars were selected by the voting members from the East Division markets, East Division head coaches and the National Chapter. The West Division All-Stars were selected by the voting members from the West Division markets, the West Division head coaches and the National Chapter.
The CFL All-Stars will be announced in early December.
