Stamps and Sewell Named CFL West Division All-Stars

(Edmonton) - Today, the Canadian Football League named Eskimos slotback Fred Stamps and defensive tackle Almondo Sewell 2013 CFL West Division All-Stars.
Stamps led the league with 1,259 receiving yards and his career-high 11 touchdowns ranks tops among league receivers. He recorded his fifth consecutive 1,000-yard season in Week 14 against the Toronto Argonauts on a 35-yard reception. This marks Stamps' fifth consecutive CFL West Division All-Star nod.
Sewell recorded 39 defensive tackles, eight quarterback sacks, one pass knockdown and one fumble recovery this season. In Week 16, against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, he recorded two kickoff returns for 24 yards. This marks Sewell's second consecutive CFL West Division All-Star nod.
Division All-Stars were selected by a group of 77 voters, including members of the Football Reporters of Canada and CFL head coaches. CFL All-Stars will be announced in early December.
