(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians, proud affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, have been named the 2013 recipients of the prestigious John H. Johnson President's Trophy given to Minor League Baseball's top organization.

The President's Trophy, Minor League Baseball's top honour, has been given out each year since 1974 to the most complete baseball franchise. From franchise stability to contributions within the community and baseball industry, Vancouver becomes the first Canadian-based franchise to receive Minor League Baseball's highest accolade.

"There are few words to describe how proud we are of this award," stated Vancouver Canadians owner Jake Kerr who along with partner Jeff Mooney purchased the franchise back in 2007 rebuilding it from the ground up.

"Andy Dunn and his staff have been extraordinary in developing this team into something our community can be proud of. We are extremely honoured to be recognized as the top franchise in baseball by accepting the John H. Johnson President's Trophy, baseball's highest award".

The Vancouver Canadians set a fifth consecutive franchise attendance record in 2013 welcoming more than 195-thousand fans out to historic Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium as the C's claimed a third straight Northwest League Championship.
