Rapid City's Tim Boron Named Warrior/CHL Goaltender of the Month

GLENDALE, AZ (November 1, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Rapid City's Tim Boron has been named the Warrior Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Month for October/2013. Boron will receive a special gift courtesy of Warrior and the Central Hockey League to recognize his accomplishment.

The Winnipeg native won the same award for the last month of the 2012-13 season (March) making it back-to-back for the eighth year pro. Boron is coming off a perfect 5-0 month that saw him allow just nine goals and stop 152 of the 161 shots he faced (.944 save percentage, best in the CHL for October). Boron has allowed just one goal in three of his five starts.

Dating back to last season, the 6-0, 177-pound goalie is 14-2-1 with just 37 goals allowed in his last 17 decisions. Boron is 84-49-6 in his time in the CHL playing games with Rapid City, Wichita, Mississippi and Colorado.

Other goaltenders receiving consideration for the monthly award for October include Allen's Bryan Pitton, Arizona's Andrew Engelage, Brampton's Grant Rollheiser, Denver's Kieran Millan, Missouri's Shane Owen, and Tulsa's Ross MacKinnon.
