Week two of the 2013-14 Central Hockey League season has the Allen Americans on the road again with their first stop in St Charles, Missouri to take on the Chill. Newly acquired goaltender David Brown made his debut for Allen, earning his first start between the pipes.

The Chill opened the scoring when Kyle OKane redirected a shot by Sean Muncy at 12:59 of the first period, the secondary assist going to Dean Moore. Allen answered right back to bring the game level less than a minute later when Jamie Schaafsma netted his first goal of the season, on the power play, at 13:58 assisted by Kale Kerbashian and Tyler Ludwig. The score remained tied at the first intermission and St Charles held the edge on shots by a count of 9-6.

Allen took a 2-1 lead early in the middle frame when Spencer Asuchak notched his first goal of the season off a nifty pass from Darryl Bootland at 2:53. The Americans extended their lead to 3-1 as Jarret Lukin buried a one-timer for his first goal of the season, assisted by Corey Tamblyn and Charles Lachance at 10:09. Then Steve Makway brought the Chill to within one, scoring unassisted at 13:47 to cut the Americans lead to 3-2. The Chill persisted and three minutes later brought the game to within one again on a goal by Kyle Kraemer, with assists to Chad Costello and Anthony Pisano. St Charles again edged the Americans in shots 11-9 at the second intermission, for a two period total of 20-15 but trailed Allen 4-3.

The Chill tied the game late in the third period on a goal by Ryan Berard at 16:38, assisted by Justin Levac and Tyler Barr. Allen once again regained the lead when Alex Lavoie broke in alone and deked past the poke check of Mathieu Corbeil to put one top shelf with 1:35 remaining in regulation for his second goal of the season, assists going to Mike Berube and Trevor Hendrikx. Allen's Jonathan Lessard scored his second goal of the year on the empty net to cement the Americans the 6-4 victory with assists from Trevor Ludwig and Darryl Bootland.
