Pink in the Rink with the Mooseheads Tomorrow Night

The Halifax Mooseheads announced final details for their Pink in the Rink 6 event which will be held tomorrow night when the Memorial Cup Champions hosts Anthony Mantha and the Val-d'Or Foreurs. This popular event in Moose Country has contributed close to $70,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Atlantic Region (CBCF-Atlantic Region) and has drawn over 40,000 fans to the Metro Centre in 5 years.

The Mooseheads will again be wearing pink embroidered Mooseheads jerseys to raise awareness and funds for CBCF-Atlantic Region. Fans are also encouraged to join the Moose and dress in pink for this game to show support for the cause.

Raffle tickets will be sold at the event on 20 of the pink game-worn autographed Mooseheads jerseys which will be drawn for during the game. Raffle tickets are 1 for $2, or 3 for $5 with all proceeds going to CBCF-Atlantic Region.

The Mooseheads will also give out a Trey Lewis autographed pink Mooseheads jersey to the fan deemed the best dressed at the game.

An online auction for a pink jersey signed by the entire Mooseheads team will also take place following the game on the Mooseheads website, www.halifaxmooseheads.ca. Bidding will start on Monday, October 21st.

Stayner's Wharf Pub & Grill and Boston Pizza have also partnered with the Mooseheads to help raise funds for CBCF-Atlantic Region The two downtown restaurants are each raffling off a pink Mooseheads jersey for those that make a donation to the cause at their establishments.

A limited number of pink American Apparel Mooseheads t-shirts will be sold in Antlers Merchandise store prior to the game. Shirts will sell for $19.99 for Adults and $17.99 for Youth. Proceeds will again go to CBCF-Atlantic Region.

The team will also be using their social media sites to help educate fans and raise awareness of Breast Cancer, the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Canada and the leading cause of cancer related death among women under 40 years of age. The Val-d'Or Foreurs will be looking to ruin the party Friday and halt the momentum of a Mooseheads team that has won 5 of their last 6 games. The Foreurs are led by the red-hot Anthony Mantha, who has captured the attention of fans across the CHL by scoring 16 goals and 28 points in his first 9 games with the Foreurs. Mantha is a 2013 1st Round pick of the Detroit Red Wings.
