Boulders Add Former Lakewood BlueClaws Executive to Staff

(Pomona, NY) - The Rockland Boulders announced today that former Lakewood BlueClaws executive Joe Pilon has been named Director of Ticket Sales.
The BlueClaws are the Single A affiliate of the Philadelphia Philles located in Lakewood, NJ and have led the South Atlantic League in attendance for 13 consecutive seasons. Pilon's career includes not only his six seasons of minor league baseball success with the BlueClaws from 2006 to 2011, but six years of experience with the National Lacrosse League at both the league office and team levels.
With the Boulders, Pilon will be responsible for the day-to-day generation of all forms of ticket sales including season tickets, group tickets, mini-plans, flex packs, ticket vouchers and other promotional programs involving tickets such as the Kids Club. Pilon will have the ticket sales account executives reporting directly to him along with the sales support team and sales interns. In addition, Pilon will be tasked with selling corporate partnerships as well.
"We are thrilled to have someone of Joe's caliber join us," said Ken Lehner, President of the Rockland Boulders. "Joe will make an immediate impact by infusing ideas and energy that will help us continue to lead the CanAm League in attendance in 2014 and beyond."
After graduating from Montclair State University in 2001, where Pilon captioned the varsity football team, he worked for four years for the National Lacrosse League as Director of Community Events and the Assistant Director of Licenses and the NLL Online Store. He made the move to the BlueClaws in 2006 and excelled as Corporate Sales Manager and the Director of the Kids Club.
"Professionally it is challenge to help the Boulders strive to be the best independent baseball organization in the country", said Pilon. "Personally as an added bonus it is a homecoming of sorts as my wife has family in Rockland County."
