Screaming Eagles Announce 5th Annual Pink at the Rink

Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles are holding their 5th annual Pink at the Rink game presented by Casino Nova Scotia on Sunday, October 13th at 4:00pm against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.

During the game, Screaming Eagles players will wear custom Pink jerseys donated by Casino Nova Scotia. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase $5.00 raffle tickets for a chance to win 1 of 24 custom pink jerseys. All player jerseys will be given away in a cermony following the game. All the proceeds from the jersey raffle goes directly to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. Over the past 4 years, the Screaming Eagles have raised over $37,000 from this event in support Breast Cancer Research.

The evening will also feature the Breton Songbirds, a local women's choir, who will perform during the pre-game in the main concourse and also perform the National Anthem. Members of the Cape Breastoners Dragonboat team, made up of breast cancer survivors, will participate in the ceremonial puck drop.

In conjunction with Pink at the Rink, the Screaming Eagles are holding their 2nd annual Party in Pink - Zumba for a Cure! The zumba class will take place on Wednesday, October 9th at 7:00pm in the Centre 200 Main Concourse. Admission to the class is a $10 donation and all proceeds go to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. The class is cash only.

The Screaming Eagles are also offering companies and groups a special offer that includes 10 tickets, a $50 donation, and a group welcome on the video scoreboard for $150. The "Pink at the Rink" initiative is a project supported by all teams in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League during the month of October.
