Jordan Morrison and Dean Ouellet Are Back

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that forwards Jordan Morrison and Dean Ouellet have agreed to terms. Morrison and Ouellet join last season's other core members, Scott Langdon, Kris Belan, Dylan King and Christian Ouellet.

"It's great news for the organization and the fans to get Jordan and Dean back for this season," said SF Bulls President and Head Coach Pat Curcio. "Their return from Kazakhstan shows their desire to reach the next level in North America. Dean is an all-star and Jordan is a proven leader."

Ouellet, 26, made his pro debut with the Bulls in 2012-13, earning a berth in the ECHL All-Star game. The 6-foot, 180-pound, native of Edmunston, New Brunswick was also named the Bulls Team MVP, producing 52 points (24 goals, 28 assists) in 66 games. He ranked first on the team in assists and second in points. Ouellet finished second in the ECHL among rookies in goals and tied for third in points. He also earned his first AHL call-up with the Hamilton Bulldogs, appearing in five games. Ouellet began the 2013-14 season with Arystan in Kazakhstan.

"Coming back to the Bulls this season feels really good," said Ouellet. "San Francisco is like a second home for me. It's going to be a great season."

Prior to playing with the Bulls, Ouellet led the University of Moncton in scoring, totaling 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists) in 2010-11 and 34 points (6 goals, 28 assists) in 2011-12. Before Moncton, Ouellet was a leader for Cape Breton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), captaining the team in 2007-08 and serving as alternate captain in 2006-07. In four seasons in the QMJHL, Ouellet registered 258 points (107 goals, 151 assists) in 250 games.

Morrison, 26, is back for his second season with the Bulls, after finishing third on the team in scoring in 2012-13 with 41 points (16 goals, 25 assists) in 70 games. He began the 2013-14 season with Ouellet in Kazakhstan.

"It's good to see so many familiar faces back with the Bulls," said Morrison. "San Francisco became a home away from home last season. There were great fans and it was a great city. I'm looking forward to a productive season and doing better than last year."

The 5-foot, 10-inch, 185-pound, Uxbridge, Ontario native, has totaled 205 points (74 goals, 131 assists) in 276 career ECHL games. A seventh-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins in in 2004, Morrison also suited up in 2008-09 with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL, earning an assist in seven games. Prior to turning pro, Morrison skated two seasons for Dalhousie University of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS), leading the team in points both seasons. With Peterborough of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), he totaled 191 points (75 goals, 116 assists) in 259 games over four seasons.
