Montreal, September 16, 2013 - The Montreal Alouettes brought their game-day experience to Parc Catherine-Bousquet in Repentigny on Sunday, as part of the 2013 Alouettes Festival.

The day-long event showcased a football double-header between the Repentigny Rhinos and both the St-Jerome Pumas and Mirabel Guepards. The second-annual Alouettes Festival transformed Repentigny's backyard, allowing the young players to live first-hand the excitement and high energy of Percival Molson Stadium.

"Our ultimate goal with this event continues to be transforming a local team's home game into something exceptionally special for the kids, while encouraging the community to rally around them," explained Alouettes Chief Operating Officer, Mark Weightman. "For a second consecutive year, the objective was to recreate the atmosphere and big-stadium feel found at Alouettes home games, while showcasing the kids as the stars of the day."

The Atom and Mosquito football games were packaged like real Alouettes home games just like at Percival Molson Stadium with everything from team introductions in which young players ran out of the giant inflatable helmet, to the National Anthem, half time show, and even performances by the Alouettes Cheerleaders.

There were also games and face painting available for children as well as DJ music between plays. Members of the Repentigny community also actively contributed to the success of the day-long football celebration which also featured the presence of Alouettes Alumni Etienne Boulay, as well as current player Kyries Hebert, cornerback Byron Parker, running back Brandon Whitaker, defensive tackle Alan-Michael Cash and defensive end Ameet Pall.
