Barons 2013-14 Schedule Released

Oklahoma City Barons News Release


Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons in conjunction with the American Hockey League released its 2013-14 schedule. The Barons open the 76-game season at home Friday, October 4 against the Charlotte Checkers. Oklahoma City completes the weekend with a home game Saturday, October 5 against Charlotte. Puck drops for both games at 7 p.m.

For the third straight season, the Barons schedule features games against all 14 Western Conference opponents. Oklahoma City will play 44 of its 76 games against its West Division opponents, the Abbotsford Heat, San Antonio Rampage, Texas Stars and Charlotte Checkers. Other opponents include the Chicago Wolves, Iowa Wild, Rockford IceHogs, Grand Rapids Griffins, Lake Erie Monsters, Milwaukee Admirals, Toronto Marlies, Hamilton Bulldogs and Utica Comets. Twenty-eight of the Barons 38 home games will be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Faceoff for games played Monday - Saturday will be 7 p.m. Sunday games will begin at 4 p.m. Faceoff for the Barons annual New Year's Eve game is 6 p.m. The Barons will play one School Day Game Tuesday, November 12 at 10:30 a.m. against the San Antonio Rampage.

Although the Barons home opener is October 4, hockey season begins in Oklahoma City when the Edmonton Oilers host the Dallas Stars in the NHL Showcase presented by Mercy on Friday, September 27 at the Cox Convention Center at 7 p.m. For more information about tickets, call the Barons office at 232-GOAL.
