Anthony Bass allowed only one run over eight innings Wednesday in the Tucson Padres 5-3 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers at Kino Stadium. The Padres have won three straight games and ten of their last 12 at home.

After Dean Anna led off the bottom of the first with a single to right, he later scored on a double play to put the Padres ahead 1-0. Cody Decker extended the lead to two runs in the second with his team-leading 16th homer of the season. Tucson added a run in the third on Mike Wilson's RBI single to center, scoring Jonathan Galvez from second.

Tucson brought around two more runs in the fifth with a pair of RBI singles from Gregorio Petit and Decker. The Rainiers got on the scoreboard in the sixth on Ty Kelly's sacrifice fly to right field. Tacoma scored two runs in the ninth and had the bases-loaded with one out, but Kevin Quackenbush struck out the final two batters to seal the win. The save was Quackenbush's second with Tucson.

Bass earned his fourth win of the season and has allowed only one run in his last 15 innings at home. Tacoma starter Blake Beavan was charged with the loss after surrendering five runs on ten hits in five innings of work. Anna collected two hits Wednesday to raise his batting average to .335, best in the Pacific Coast League.
