Tonight, the SeaWolves look to rebound from a tough opening game of the series loss as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the middle game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves lost a seesaw battle with the Aeros 10-9. Erie has now dropped two straight and three of four against Akron. Despite last night's loss, the SeaWolves are still in a first place tie with Harrisburg atop the Western Division. Harrisburg and Richmond were rained out on Monday and will play a doubleheader tonight at The Diamond. Bowie also lost on Monday night and the Baysox are three games back...Matt Crouse takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 29th appearance, 22nd start and second start against the Aeros. Crouse beat the Aeros on May 26 tossing six shutout innings, allowing two hits with four walks and three strikeouts. Crouse was a tough luck loser in his last start at Bowie on August 15. In the game, he allowed three runs on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts in seven innings of work. Erie lost the game 4-2...RHP Cody Anderson took a no-decision in his Akron debut on August 15. In the game, he allowed two runs on four hits with three walks and five strikeouts in five innings. Anderson began the season with Class-A Carolina where he made 23 starts, posting a 9-4 record and 2.34 ERA.
