HARRISON, NJ "" The first place New York Red Bulls will look to extend their Eastern Conference lead when they hit the road for the second-straight week, battling the Columbus Crew at Crew Stadium Saturday night at 7:30 PM ET (TV: MSG "" broadcast/transmission Information below; Radio: ESPN Deportes Radio Nueva York 1050 AM).
The Red Bulls claimed first place in the Eastern Conference after defeating Sporting Kansas City, 3-2, in a top of the table clash on August 3 at Sporting Park. New York received goals from Steele, Fabian Espindola and MLS Player of the Week Lloyd Sam. New York sits atop the Eastern Conference with 38 points, an 11-7-5 record and a two-point lead over Sporting Kansas City. It has not dropped a contest since a 2-0 July 4 loss to the Colorado Rapids.
The Crew enters this contest having lost their last three, the most recent decision coming in a 3-1 defeat to the Houston Dynamo on August 3 at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Crew is in eighth place in the Eastern Conference with 23 points and a 6-11-5 record.
The Red Bulls are hosting an outdoor viewing party for the Crew match at Brooklyn Bridge's Harbor View Lawn at Pier 1 starting at 7:00 PM on Saturday.
