Broncos Make Deal with Thunderbirds

Swift Current, SK - Swift Current Broncos General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb, has announced that the club has acquired forwards Connor Sanvido and Andrew Johnson from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for a 4th round pick in the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft.
Sanvido, the 5'10", 190-pound product of Maple Ridge, BC tallied 29 points (15-14-29) and 40 penalty minutes in 72 games played with the Seattle Thunderbirds last season. The 1993-born forward has appeared in 184 WHL career games where he has recorded 53 points (26-27-53) and 76 penalty minutes. Sanvido was selected by Seattle in the 1st round, 14th overall, of the 2008 WHL Bantam Draft.
Johnson, the 5'10", 175-pound Saskatoon, SK native split the 2012-13 season between the Moose Jaw Warriors and Seattle Thunderbirds, where he tallied a combined 23 points (11-12-23) in 72 games played. He was selected by the Warriors in the 2nd round, 23rd overall, of the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft.
