MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the signing of forward Sven Andrighetto to a three-year, entry-level contract for the 2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons. As per club policy, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In 2012-2013, Andrighetto led he Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in assists (67) and points (98), finishing sixth in the QMJHL in scoring. The 5'10", 181-pound forward also recorded 31 goals, a +25 rating and 45 penalty minutes in 53 regular season games and 30 points (eight goals, 22 assists) in 14 post-season games with Rouyn-Noranda last season. In two seasons with the Huskies, the Sumiswald, Switzerland native posted 172 points (67 goals, 105 assists) and 95 penalty minutes and was named to the QMJHL All-Rookie Team in 2011-2012

Andrighetto, 20, represented Switzerland at the 2012 and 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation World Under-20 Championships, notching in 10 points (six goals, four assists) in 12 games, and at the 2010 and 2011 IIHF World Under-18 Championships, collecting eight points in 12 contests.

Selected in the third round, 86th overall by Montreal at the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Andrighetto participated in Canadiens Development Camp earlier this month.
