Great Lakes Loons News Release
FORT WAYNE, IN - Saturday night, the Fort Wayne TinCaps capitalized on four throwing errors by the left side of the Great Lakes Loons infield to score four unearned runs and win by three, 7-4, in front of a crow of 6,510.
Three times the Loons either scored to tie the game or take the lead. The Loons led the game 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning. Corey Seager's throwing error allowed Diego Goris to reach to lead off the frame. He scored the tying run on a Dane Phillips double. With two outs Phillips crossed the plate on a single by Tyler Stubblefield.
The TinCaps tacked on two more insurance runs in the eighth on RBI hits by Goris and Chris Burke.
With the two runs allowed in the seventh, Scott Griggs (2-5) had his consecutive scoreless innings streak snapped at 19 1/3. His streak of consecutive innings without an earned run allowed ended at 21 with two outs in the eight. Griggs was charged with the loss, allowing a rare five hits over 1 2/3 innings with four runs (half earned).

Left-hander Tom Windle started for the Loons, throwing a career-high four innings in his third professional appearance. The Dodgers' second round selection this year allowed three runs but just one was earned.
The TinCaps scored two unearned against Windle in the second, capitalizing on another throwing error by Seager and a throwing error by third baseman Brandon Dixon, one of two he committed as well.
The Loons tied the score in the fourth on a two-run double by Dixon down the right field line.
Tyler Stubblefield hit his second home run of the year in the fourth, accounting for Windle's only earned run allowed, to give Fort Wayne the lead, 3-2.
But the Loons tied the score in the fifth and took the lead in the seventh, both times with Jeremy Rathjen scoring on an RBI single by Jose Capellan.
