TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Mike Angelidis to a one-year, two-way contract today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Angelidis, 6-foot-1, 212 pounds, played in 71 regular season games with the Syracuse Crunch, recording 11 goals and 24 points while serving as captain. He ranked second on the Crunch for penalty minutes with 158. He also appeared in 18 Calder Cup Playoff games in helping Syracuse to the finals, recording two goals and six points. He also played in one game with the Lightning in 2012-13, April 2 vs. the Florida Panthers.

During the 2011-12 regular season, Angelidis scored his first career NHL goal in his NHL debut on January 24, 2012 against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. The 28-year-old forward skated in six games with the Lightning during that season and collected a goal and five penalty minutes.

The Woodbridge, Ontario native has played in 440 career AHL games with the Norfolk Admirals, Albany River Rats and Crunch, collecting 87 goals and 174 points, to go along with 918 penalty minutes. He was a member of the Admirals team that captured the Calder Cup Championship in 2012, skating in 18 games and recording a goal and six points.
