Bullfrogs Fall to Bombers in Low-Scoring Affair

Battle Creek, Mich - The Bullfrogs' losing streak extended to two games on Friday, as the Battle Creek Bombers used two two-run innings to notch a 4-2 victory over Green Bay.

The Bombers scored first in the first inning, scoring two runs on four singles off of Bullfrog starting pitcher Bryce Bellin (Minnesota State), who gave up 11 hits in six innings of work.

The Bombers tacked on two more in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 4-0.

The Bullfrogs scored one run in the seventh. Ryan Drobny (Cal Poly) scored on a Battle Creek error to make the Bomber lead 4-1.

The Bullfrogs used a two out rally to add on another in the eighth inning. Boomer White (TCU) singled and then stole second base and was driven in on a single by Tripp Martin (Samford) to score the run.

The Bullfrogs were held scoreless in the final two innings, as Battle Creek held on for a 4-2 win.

The loss went to Bellin. He is 0-2 on the season. Starter David Stagg (Indiana State) earned the win for Battle Creek. Gabe Berman picked up his fifth save in the Bomber win.

The Bullfrogs finish out the weekend with two more in Battle Creek to complete a three game series against the Bombers.

The Bullfrogs return home next Tuesday to take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. It is KIDS DAY 2013 presented by Gallagher's Pizza and 2 for 1 Tuesdays with Y100.
